"Encounters in Petit Comité" in Mexico City: a unique experience where mystery, emotion and creativity merge into an intimate conversation with Javier Urbina, "The Lord of the Bubbles." Through an artistic lens, it explores how direction and an outside eye can transform a performance, turning the technical into something unforgettable. A 100% free event in Mexico City.
What happens when circus and theatre meet? In the circus, physical skill defies the impossible; in theatre, emotion turns every gesture into a universe. "Between Circus and Theatre" explores that fusion through a close, revealing conversation with Javier Urbina. It is not a class or a technical workshop: it is an experience for artists, students and lovers of circus and theatre who want to discover new perspectives and question their own art.
Known worldwide as "The Lord of the Bubbles," Javier Urbina (Madrid, Spain) has taken his art to more than 30 countries, turning an ephemeral element like a bubble into an artistic language that blends technique and emotion, science and magic. In this talk he shares his vision on the importance of direction and how small changes make the difference between a good act and a performance that leaves a mark.
The gathering was aimed at actors, theatre students, circus artists, directors and stage creators looking to add emotion, narrative and depth to their work. It was held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Flykihouse (Alonso Cano 118, Santa María Nonoalco, Álvaro Obregón, Mexico City), with free admission and limited places. An event made, quite literally, "for the love of art."
