From October 14 to 17, 2024, Mexico City hosted one of the most significant events in the artistic and circus scene: the 2024 International Festival of Arts and Performances. It gathered artists from the United States, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Argentina and other Latin American nations to celebrate creativity and talent in all its forms.
Across four days, the festival offered a program full of activities โ specialized workshops, gala shows and creative competitions such as makeup contests and group competitions among clowns and circus artists. The atmosphere was festive and full of energy. While much of the audience consisted of artists, mainly clowns, the galas also drew the general public, turning the festival into a meeting point that promoted cultural exchange and artistic collaboration.
A highlight was the participation of Javier Urbina, "The Lord of the Bubbles." He led a specialized bubble workshop where attendees โ mostly circus artists and clowns โ eagerly learned new techniques and tricks, making it an interactive and engaging experience.
The most memorable moment came at the closing gala, where his show full of magic and wonder connected deeply with the audience. At the end, the crowd responded with a standing ovation โ one of the most emotional moments of the festival, and a clear example of the level of talent the event attracts.
