"ARCANO" A Journey of Steam and Enchantment Through a Futuristic Circus, Successfully Presented at the Puebla and Mérida Fairs in Mexico (April–June 2024)

A spectacular cast for an impressive show. "ARCANO" is the production by Illusion On Ice, brimming with magic, juggling, acrobatics, ephemeral art with sand and bubbles, contortions, comedy and thrilling choreography by exceptional dancers. At its heart is Javier Urbina, "The Lord of the Bubbles," who takes on the role of an enigmatic Master of Ceremonies. Dressed like an alchemist from another era, he creates ethereal bubbles inside a giant acrylic chamber that, magnified on a giant screen, transform into fleeting works of art.

Whirring gears, hissing steam and an extraordinary cast bring "ARCANO" to life — a circus marvel that evokes the elegance of a futuristic past with a touch of magic and wonder. Wrapped in a steampunk atmosphere, it blends aerial acrobatics, impossible juggling and ephemeral art made with sand and bubbles, while contortionists and dancers clad in leather and brass move to perfectly synchronized choreography. Industrial lights, mechanical-design projections and refined aesthetics make it a performance at the cutting edge of modern circus.

The world of "ARCANO" first came to life at the Puebla Fair in Mexico, from April 25 to May 12, 2024, where 45 performances drew over 200,000 spectators into a parallel dimension built by top artists from Spain, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Germany and Argentina. After Puebla, the show continued to Mérida, Mexico, from May 19 to June 18, 2024.

Amid the copper and steam, Javier Urbina, "The Lord of the Bubbles," stands out as the enigmatic Master of Ceremonies. With the elegance of an alchemist, he guides the audience through this world of mechanical fantasy. In his main act he creates ethereal bubbles within a giant acrylic chamber — a transparent Victorian-style artifact — and, thanks to a giant screen, the audience marvels at each delicate bubble suspended in the air, defying the laws of physics through his masterful skill.

"ARCANO" is more than a show; it is a journey through an era that never was, yet one we all wish we could have lived — where steam and mechanics dance with magic, and imagination knows no bounds.
